Your purchases make a real impact.
At the end of 2022, we shared a touching story about Gramps on social media. Since then, we've received many positive reviews from pet parents who also adopted a pet with special needs.
Those true stories make us realize what we design and what our pet parents purchase are more than pet supplies. To some rescued pets and pets in need, they represent a helping hand, a sign of support, or the chance to live a good life.
That's why we launch this campaign at the beginning of 2023. For every purchase made at uahpet, we will contribute $1 towards our donation efforts to support rescued pets. At the end of the month, we will calculate the total order numbers and donate products of equal value to that amount.
If you would like to keep up on the latest stories of Uahpet Giving, follow us on social media. Our total donation will be updated at the end of January.
Thanks for your support. Together we'll witness how those small acts of human kindness turn into something big. Click here to see the impact we've made together.

"It was love at first sight."
By Sarah K
It was actually recommended to me that I get a pet by my therapist because I was going through a rough patch and living away from home. My friend came with me to the SPCA, and the volunteers took me right to Theo (then named Tommy). It was love at first sight. He was climbing all over us and loved playing. I brought him home a few weeks later, and he's been by my side for the past three years.
He's now with me back home in Buffalo and is a big Bills fan (he even has a jersey!) He loves going outside with his harness and making friends with everyone he meets. He's super loving and enjoys playing with toy mice and lying next to me, especially when I'm working on my laptop.

After a very difficult year when I almost died in a fatal car accident, Hershey was born in December 2006. I got to meet Hershey when she was only a couple of weeks old, and I had always wanted a black cat. 16 years later, Hershey continues to be the greatest gift I have ever received; she is an ongoing part of my recovery from C-PTSD.

Long ago, I was suffering from depression and even had suicidal thoughts. But I had several cats at the time. They would cuddle and snuggle with me at bedtime. I could not bear the thought that no one would be around to take care of them if I was gone. So I got through the depression with their help. My cats saved my life.

A pet was suggested after going through cancer treatment and surgery. I thought it would be nice but not make a difference. Boy was I wrong. I have more energy knowing I have someone that depends on me and needs me. She was a stray in human society and kept getting passed by. She was scared and curled up in the corner. I knew that feeling. But the good news is that we have been making great progress together.

“Uno is more than a pet, he is a wildlife ambassador who helps me in my mission to educate the public about the incredible creatures living in our yards, our homes, and wild spaces. ”
My husband and I run a wildlife rehabilitation center and animal rescue, and we currently have 85 animals in our care.
Uno fosters other squirrels and is the star of many educational videos I create. He was born blind and missing one eye, so he has unique and special needs. He is also still a wild animal, so respecting his boundaries and not expecting him to behave like a domestic pet is essential to keeping everyone safe, healthy, and happy.
Uno is such a special part of our rescued family, and we love him dearly and are grateful for his coming into our lives every day.

"I have two charges adopted from a rescue. They run the house and also my heart. They will be a year old in a few months, and together we can be a family of mutual care and love."
Willie is an active and affectionate little guy. His name comes from his fascination with watching hockey games on TV. He puts any little toy in a plastic grocery bag and puts the bag in his mouth so he can triumphantly strut around the house and hide his spoils.
Mazie, on the other hand, is not as affectionate. Her name is an adaptation of the Marvelous Mrs. Maizel. She sometimes reaches up with both front paws like a young child does to be picked up. When I hold her, she scopes out her next area to investigate. She explores every nook and cranny of the house and often gets herself into a "stuck" predicament. Her behavior is a lot like Mrs. Maizel's!
I've had many cats over my life that I still love, even though they are now only memories. After the passing of the last cat I had, I swore never to get another cat. But as time passed, I decided to adopt again and found these two happy little tuxedo kittens. They're what I needed to get grounded again and live in the present. I care deeply about them and will continue to do so.

As a new pet owner, I was excited to bring a furry companion into my life. I never expected to find a stray cat wandering the streets, but as soon as I saw her, I knew she was meant to be mine. At first, Luna was shy and scared, but as I showed her love and patience, she began to open up. Watching her transform from a timid stray to a playful and loving companion has been one of the greatest joys of my life. She has become my constant companion, and I can't imagine my life without her. I am grateful to have her in my life, and I know she feels the same way.

Milo was just a tiny, helpless kitten when he was abandoned in a park, left to fend for himself against the cold and the hunger. He was covered in fleas and barely had the strength to lift his head, and it seemed like the end was near.
When Milo was finally rescued by a compassionate soul, it was too late for many of his troubles. Even with the best care, Milo was often sick and uncomfortable, and his future was uncertain.
But in the end, Milo got back to health and grew into a cheeky, happy, healthy young kitten. It is the kindness and attention of his family that cultivates his resilience and love to live.
