Uno is more than a pet, he is a wildlife ambassador who helps me in my mission to educate the public about the incredible creatures living in our yards, our homes, and wild spaces.
My husband and I run a wildlife rehabilitation center and animal rescue, and we currently have 85 animals in our care (and this is the slow season!)
Uno fosters other squirrels and is the star of many educational videos I create. He was born blind and missing one eye, so he has unique and special needs. He is also still a wild animal, so respecting his boundaries and not expecting him to behave like a domestic pet is essential to keeping everyone safe, healthy, and happy.
Uno is such a special part of our rescued family, and we love him dearly and are grateful for his coming into our lives every day.
